BEHOLD!
My latest in my Digital Illustration projects.
This point of this project was to represent sound, visually. While this may seem somewhat simple, getting this down exactly was a little bit..... frustrating. We didn't have the creative freedom of previous projects [like representing it abstractly], so we had to change to a mindset I just couldn't get into for some reason. We basically were reduced to slapping the audience with the sound pun due to the fact that - any way we approached this - seemed bland or didn't represent the sound properly [even though most of my colleagues understood each other].
Out of all the ideas I had, most of which were too abstract or ended up turning instruments into weapons or "lacked visual music" [which was the point of instruments being at rest, but that individual missed the point of that idea], I had one homage / parody of the RCA Dog.
SO, out of all the things I had, I decided to just use that idea since this other one [a screaming Phoogram... which I'll share when I can polish it up later] "lacked variety" [again, same individual; I had a few ideas dealing with Phonograms].
I think I got the point across in this as best as I could; I wanted to have hairs all over the dog being blasted back by the volume of the Phonogram, but after some experimentation, I couldn't get the hairs on him to look decent. I left some of them on his head just to convey the point but.... I dunno. I think I reached the "aw fuck it" point and just decided to get it done. Have a mixed feeling my Professor might either like it or completely hate it, but I'm not sure.
I exaggerated the image and had musical notes blasting "Nipper," the RCA Dog from the RCA logo - every TV I've ever owned has been a RCA , even the one I won back on a random drawing - in the face, and also had the subtlety of giving the idea that the music is SO LOUD that even the wallpaper in the background [suppose to be floral designs] started dancing to the music.
HOPEFULLY everyone will catch that.
You'll also notice that there's a Stevie Wonder record sleeve on the floor with one of my favorite songs from him: Superstition. It's a subtle gesture as to what Nipper is getting blasted with on the Phonogram.
I dunno, what do you guys think?
I think I've hit the point in my semester where I'm just feeling burned out.
Off to more homework.

Cool pic... but it's a "GRAMOPHONE", not "phonogram", unless you mean "phonograph".
