Behold, my first Advanced Illustrator project that I've been tinkering on now for about 3 or so weeks.
The assignment was to create a image that utilizes various gradients to make an effect of depth and sosphisticated shading.
My initial idea / design was to create a scene of a diver rising [camera facing downward so all you see is the darkening ocean] from the depths of the ocean with these MONSTEROUS Kraken tentacles rising up around him. After working on it for 2 weeks, I wasn't getting anywhere and the diver was looking like utter failure. D:
However, after thinking about it for a bit, I thought of just doing something simple: a flower on a table. With all the photos I had from my Mom's flower garden, I looked at various types of flowers and decided to do something totally different - spotted pink flowers with white highlights. :3
So after all the time I put into it, I liked the results. Funny thing was that when it came to render this monster image, even with ALL of my computer's memory, I couldn't render the *original* image sizing I did the whole project in. So, in order to get it to render [at all], I had to shrink the image down 3 times the original size, so some of the details [like subtle things on the flowers] didn't come out right.
So in order to share with you some of the details of it, I included a high-resolution version of it in the download button. Click it to check it out.
Any attempts to steal it will result in your computer self-destructing.
