BEHOLD! :ohnoes:

Just in time for Holloween! :stab:

Back when I was younger, I was introduced to one of the many iconic Hollywood "Boogyman" of horrors, The Springwood Slasher, better known as... FREDDY KRUEGER! :fear:

I remember I was only like 6 when I saw A Nightmare On Elmstreet and HOT DAMN, that screwed with my MIND. What's more terrifying than a monster that doesn't attack you when you're awake but in your FREAKIN' DREAMS!? :ohnoes:

It's insanely creepy that there were ACTUAL stories about people just suddenly dying in their sleep - for no aparent reason - back in the 80s. It was hearing this that Wes Craven came up with the idea of A Nightmare On Elmstreet and the iconic Freddy Krueger was born. I remember hearing about those stories from my parents and then actually seeing the movie that did what films nowadays fail to do: break that 4th wall and scare me to the EFFIN' CORE. :fear:

It was always amazing trying to figure out where the "real world" and the "dream world" would transition in all the Elmstreet movies. :wow: Nothing like a SLICK SCARE to really get you on the edge of your seat. :ohnoes: Freddy Krueger totally reinvented how monsters were back then. What's scarier than something you can't physically harm but goes after you when you're at your most vulnerable, unable to call for help? o____oUu

I had so many genuine, GENUINE, freakin' nightmares about Krueger. :O_o:

But the funny thing with him is that to anyone under the age of 15, he's a horrifying monster; but to anyone older than 15, he's something of a slasher with a dark sense of humor. :giggle: I go back nowadays and can't believe how many jokes I missed with the Nightmare On Elmstreet series. :XD: These are great movies to watch with a date, considering it could either be good scares or laughs depending on how much they're into horror. ;P

Then you could never seem to kill him. :omfg: Thing I loved with Krueger was how he could take any strength and turn it into a horrible weakness: he lets you think you get the upperhand only to royally crush you a moment later.

I mean, c'mon, he killed someone with a DEMONIC POWER GLOVE! :ohnoes: How hardcore is that, seriously!? :fear:

But I bet a lot of kids nowadays don't know who Krueger is. :hmm: It's sad to see icons like him, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, and other horror legends less common nowadays. :<

I think the last great horror legend of recent has been Hannabal Lecture. :plotting: Don't know of any others - besides supernatural or alien - that have given me genuine fear, much less the creeps. :bored:

Maybe I'm just too hardcore of a horror fan. :#1:

BUUUUUUT, I demand those who are reading this to check out the Nightmare On Elmstreet Series, if you haven't at least seen the first one. :shakefist: Today's horror doesn't seem as creative than the stuff of old. :D

Anyways, download for SCARIER RESOLUTION! :devilish:
